Renfrew Scarf is knit using the distinct fisherman rib pattern, which is dense and soft.The varying 2 colours of wool create vertical contrast ribbing that is reversible and dramatically different tonally on each side. This Fisherman Rib Scarf has a neat and tidy I-cord edge detailing.

Knit, purl, knit below st, purl below st, cast on, bind off.

MATERIALS

Bulky weight wool, 7 WPI
Vientos, Malabrigo Merino wool, 2 ply bulky, colours Ivory & Black Forest (shown)
130 YD / 119 M per skein, approx 1.5 of each skein
10 US / 6 mm, (shown) circular needle (16” / 41 cm around, or longer, as desired)

GAUGE

12 to 15 stitches per 4 inches (10 cm)
on US 9 to 11 (5.5 mm to 8.0 mm) needles
